Sometimes a session is recorded under the wrong name, or you may decide to reorganize your client database. emWave Pro allows you to reassign recorded data to a different profile without losing the heart rhythm analysis or coherence points.
How to Move a Session
- Select the Source User: Open the emWave software and ensure the database containing your users is open. Go to the Progress View for the user who currently “owns” the sessions.
- Highlight the Data:
- Single Session: Click on the session entry once.
- Multiple Random Sessions: Hold down the Control key (Windows) or Command key (Mac) and click each session you want to move.
- A Range of Sessions: Click the first session, hold the Shift key, and click the last session in the group.
- Switch to the Target User: While the sessions are still highlighted, use the user pop-up menu in the top toolbar to select the person you want to move the data to.
- Confirm the Action: A confirmation dialog will appear stating something like: “Are you sure you want to move [X] sessions to [User Name]?” Click OK.
Verification
Once you click OK, the sessions will disappear from the original user’s history and appear instantly in the target user’s Progress View. All associated metadata, including Journal entries and Annotations, will move with the session.
Moving Between Databases
If you need to move data to a completely different database file (not just a different person in the current file), the process is slightly different:
- You must have “Multiple Databases” enabled in Preferences.
- Open both database windows and use the Copy/Paste commands to transfer the sessions
