Overview
The primary objective of every coherence-powered game is to help you shift your internal state. These games act as “Emotion Visualizers,” where your ability to self-generate positive feelings like love, care, or appreciation is reflected in the changing imagery on your screen.
Getting Started
- Select Your Game: Click the Hot Air Balloon icon on the toolbar to view the list of available games and visualizers.
- Open the View: Click on the specific game you wish to play (e.g., Balloon, Garden, or Rainbow).
- Start the Session:Crucial Step: You must click the Start Button from within the game view.
- Note: If you start a recording from the standard Heart Rhythm Display screen, the “Start” button inside the game will be disabled. You must always start the recording from the game window to play.
During the Game
- Dual Monitoring: If your computer screen is large enough, you can view the game and the Heart Rhythm Display simultaneously. This allows you to see exactly how a specific HRV wave pattern corresponds to a movement in the game.
- Coherence Threshold: You will find the games more enjoyable if you have practiced the Quick Coherence Technique and can maintain a Low Coherence Ratio of 50% or less.
Stopping and Reviewing
- End the Session: Click the Stop Button at any time to finish your practice.
- Immediate Analysis: You do not need to exit the game to see your results. Click the appropriate data buttons on the toolbar to review your Heart Rhythm, Power Spectrum, and Coherence Ratios.
- Note: Pulse Wave data is the only metric that cannot be reviewed after a session; it must be viewed in real-time.
- Exit: Click the “X” or the return button to go back to the standard session window.
Expanding Your Library
While emWave comes with several built-in games, advanced users may want to explore third-party titles available in the HeartMath store, such as:
- Dual Drive: A high-speed racing game powered by coherence.
- Tropical Heat: An island-themed adventure where your heart rhythm controls the environment.
