What does the Green light at the bottom of the emWave2 device mean?

Understanding the light patterns on your emWave2 while it is plugged in ensures that your device is charging correctly and ready for your next mobile session.

Here is a quick-reference guide to the charging indicators and what they mean.

Understanding emWave2 Charging Indicators

When you connect your emWave2 to a power source using the provided USB cable, the device uses specific light signals to communicate its battery status.

I. The Charging Sequence

  1. Power Connection: As soon as the device is plugged in, a Green light will illuminate in the lower-left corner. This confirms that power is successfully being applied to the unit.

  2. Charging in Progress: Shortly after the green light appears, the Blue lights in the Heart Action Strip (the vertical column of lights) will begin to cycle up and down. This animation indicates that the battery is actively drawing a charge.

  3. Full Charge Confirmation: Once the device has reached 100% capacity, the cycling animation will stop, and you will see 5 solid Blue lights illuminated on the Heart Action Strip.

II. Ready for Use

Once you see the five solid blue lights, your emWave2 is fully charged. You can now unplug the USB cable, and the device is ready for mobile operation.
