Yes, the emWave2 is designed to be used both with and without a computer.
Mobility is one of the key features of the emWave2 device. You can practice your coherence techniques anywhere using the handheld unit alone, and you are not required to download or sync your data to a computer if you prefer not to.
Recording and Storage

Capacity: The handheld device can record and store up to 18 hours of session data.

What happens when it’s full? Once the 18-hour limit is reached, the device will simply stop recording new sessions into its internal memory.

Does it still work? Yes. Reaching the memory limit does not affect the operation of the device, its functions, or its warranty. You can continue to use it for real-time coherence feedback even if it is no longer recording the data for later review.
