Whether you are setting up a new computer or reinstalling your software to fix an issue, it is vital to use the most current version available to ensure compatibility with modern operating systems like Windows 11 and macOS Sequoia.
1. Where to Download
HeartMath maintains a centralized hub for all technology downloads. Navigate to:
On this page, you will find separate installers for:
-
emWave Pro / Pro Plus: For practitioners and advanced users.
-
emWave2: For users with the handheld emWave2 device.
-
USB Fix Utility: For resolving sensor connection issues on Windows.
2. Installation Steps
-
Select your OS: Click the download button corresponding to your operating system (Windows or Mac).
-
Run the Installer: Once the download is complete, locate the file (usually in your “Downloads” folder) and double-click it to begin the setup wizard.
-
Follow the Prompts: Agree to the license terms and choose your installation directory.
-
Connect Hardware: Do not plug in your USB Sensor Module or emWave2 handheld until the installer specifically prompts you to do so, or until the installation is finished.
3. Activating Your Software
The emWave software runs in a “restricted” mode until a valid registration number is entered.
-
Where to find your key: Your registration number is typically sent via email upon purchase or found on the back of the original CD sleeve/Quick Start Guide.
-
Activation: Open the software, go to the Help menu, and select Registration. Enter your name and the 10- or 12-digit key exactly as it appears.
4. Troubleshooting Downloads
-
Blocked Downloads: If your browser warns you that the file “is not commonly downloaded,” select Keep or Run Anyway. HeartMath software is digitally signed and safe.
-
Lost Registration Number: if you cannot find your key, contact HeartMath Customer Support with your original order information, and they can retrieve it for you.
-
Installation Errors: Ensure you have Administrative privileges on your computer. If an error occurs, try disabling your antivirus temporarily during the installation process.
