Troubleshooting Game Connection: Dual Drive and Tropical Heat

If your HeartMath games are not detecting your emWave software, follow these steps to enable the necessary communication settings.

1. Enable External Communication

For Windows Users:

  • Open the emWave program.
  • Click the Edit tab (top-left) and select Preferences.
  • Click the Advanced tab.
  • Check the boxes for External Game Communication and Send Pulse Data (Note: emWave2 users will only see “External Game Communication”).
  • Click OK, then exit and restart emWave to apply changes.

For Mac Users:

  • Open the emWave program.
  • Click emWave Pro or emWave2 in the top-left menu bar and select Preferences.
  • Click the Advanced tab.
  • Check the boxes for External Game Communication and Send Pulse Data (Note: emWave2 users will only see “External Game Communication”).
  • Click OK, then exit and restart emWave to apply changes.

2. Check for Software Updates

To ensure compatibility between your games and the emWave software, it is important to be running the most current versions.

3. Firewall and Security Settings

If the games still do not connect, your firewall may be blocking the communication between the applications. Ensure your security software allows full access to the following files:

  • DualDriveEngine.exe
  • SomaticVisionServer.exe
  • emwavepc.exe
