Moving Sessions Between User Profiles in emWave PRO

It is common for sessions to be recorded under the incorrect user profile, especially in professional settings with multiple clients. The emWave PRO software includes a built-in “Export” feature that allows you to transfer these sessions between local user accounts without losing any data.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Locate the Session

  • In the main emWave PRO screen, select the User Name that currently contains the session you wish to move.

  • Click the Review Progress icon (the multi-colored bar graph located at the top center of the screen).

2. Select the Data

  • Your session history list will appear. Use your cursor to click and highlight the specific session (or multiple sessions) that need to be transferred.

3. Export the Session

  • Navigate to the top menu bar, click on File, and select Export Sessions.

  • A confirmation window will appear showing the number of sessions selected. Verify that this is correct and click OK.

4. Choose the Destination

  • A new window will display a list of all user accounts in your database.

  • Place a checkmark next to the User Name where the session should properly reside.

  • Click the Export button.

5. Finalize the Transfer

  • To ensure the database refreshes correctly and displays the session under the new user, close and restart the emWave program.

Important Note

This process moves the data internally between profiles already existing in your emWave PRO database. If you need to move data to a completely different computer, you will need to use the standard “Export to File” and “Import from File” options found in the same File menu.
