Before You Begin

Internet Connection: Ensure your computer has an active internet connection before checking for updates.

Permissions (Mac Users): Have your Mac user account password ready, as it will be required to finalize the installation.
Steps to Check for Updates
For Mac Users:

Launch the emWave PRO application.

Click on the emWave PRO menu in the top Apple menu bar.

Select Check for Updates.

If no updates are found, a notification will appear. If an update is available, click Install Update.

After the download, click Install and Re-launch.

Enter your Mac password when prompted and click OK.
For PC (Windows) Users:

Launch the emWave PRO application.
-
Navigate to the Help menu in the upper left corner of the screen.

Select Check for Updates.

If updates are available, a prompt will appear with the Release Notes. Review them and click Install Update.

Once the download is finished, you will be prompted to click Install and Re-launch.
What to Expect During the Update

Automatic Process: The update procedure automatically uninstalls the previous version of the emWave program and replaces it with the new version. This is a standard part of the update cycle and does not affect your session data.

Notifications: If your software is already current, you will receive a message stating that no updates are available at this time.
Troubleshooting
If the update fails to download or install:

Verify your firewall or antivirus software isn’t blocking the application’s access to the internet.

Run the application as an Administrator (on PC).
