Overview
There are several reasons you might need to clear your sensor’s connection history:
- Troubleshooting: If your sensor refuses to connect or drops its signal frequently, “forgetting” the device allows the app to rebuild the connection from scratch, often solving persistent glitches.
- New Hardware: When replacing an old sensor with a new one, the app may still try to search for the previous device ID. Clearing the old data ensures the app finds your new hardware immediately.
- Switching Sensors: If you use multiple sensors (e.g., one for home and one for travel), you may need to forget the current one before the app will pair with the second device.
Step-by-Step Instructions
For the HeartMath App
- Open the app and tap the Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
- Select App and Sensor.
- Tap View next to “Sensor Information.”
- Tap Forget All Sensors to wipe the saved connection data.
- Result: You can now put your sensor in pairing mode and connect as if it were new.
For the Inner Balance App
- Open the app and tap the Settings (gear icon) in the top-left corner.
- Select App and Sensor Info from the menu.
- Scroll down and tap Forget All Sensors.
- Result: The app will clear its cache. Restart your sensor (press power for 0.5 seconds) and tap the “Play” button in the app to re-pair.
For the Global Coherence App
- Open the app and tap the Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner.
- Select Sensor ID.
- Tap Forget Sensor to remove the currently bonded device.
- Result: The app is now ready to scan for a different sensor.
Pro Tip: After tapping “Forget Sensor,” it is often helpful to toggle your phone’s Bluetooth OFF and then ON again before attempting to re-connect. This ensures your mobile device is fully refreshed and ready to pair.
