Mac SPX, Activity and Console Logs

In providing assistance on Mac's, it sometimes becomes necessary to provide some additional comprehensive information to HeartMath Technical Support.
 
Here are the most common reports that you might be asked to provide:
 
Copy your Database
 
If you have the box checked for Enable Multiple Databases, use this method.
You can verify this by clicking – emWave Mac, Preferences.
 

  • Open the emWave program.
  • Click – File
  • Choose – Save Copy As
  • Save it to your Desktop and rename it with your last name.

 
If you are using a single user Database, use this method.

  • Open the emWave program.
  • Click the View tab at the top of the screen.
  • Click the Database Folder.
  • Copy emwave.emdb, save it to your Desktop and rename it with your last name.

 

Note: Be sure to leave the .emdb file extension on the file when you rename it.
 
 
I.  SPX log

  • To get this one keep the emWave Desktop Mac open but do not run a session.
  • Connect your sensor.
  • Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the Mac Menu.
  • Select About this Mac
  • Next Click on More Info
  • Choose System Report.
  • Select File and Save.
  • Please name it with your last name.

 
II.  Activity Log

  • To get this please start the emWave application but do not start a session.
  • Now go to Finder then Utilities and click on Activity Monitor.
  • On the top right hand side you will see a drop down box, using that and select All Processes.
  • Click on File and then Save.
  • Please save this as Text.
  • Name it with your last name.

 
II.  Console

  • In Finder then Utilities and click on Console
  • Inside the left column, look in Diagnostic Reports
  • If you see a report from emWave, please highlight that
  • Click on File and then Save As
  • Repeat for each emWave file
  • The files can now be emailed to Support
